Producer OC Hinaki, Character Development Note 1
Name:
Asamiya Hinaki (朝宮 陽菜来).
Her maiden name before first marriage is Yuugiri Hinaki (夕霧 陽菜来). Her mother’s choice of the kanji of her name was for her to be an energetic girl like sunshine in the coming harvest of greens. Yuugiri family was farmers in the past, too.
Age:
30 years old (current timeline).
Due to being pregnant and married at 17, she had missed a lot of her youth, in which she now dedicates her life to make sure her son, Konoha, experienced a good portion of youth. Her early lost of youth was why Hinaki’s not only childish in posture, but also acting out childish a lot— while also cherishing the young idols in her office(s). She is used to being mature and listening to her superiors due to the time she got married in Asamiya, even though before her teenage pregnancy, she can’t even listen to adults.
Background:
Often compared with her accomplished older brother Akihisa, Hinaki doesn’t have a very good relationship with her parents since the beginning. She becomes a rebel and had started a chuunibyou spree during her middle school years, in spite to embarrass her family who owns a greenery shop in the shopping district. It led her to be alone until she met her first boyfriend who accidentally becomes her first husband, Asamiya Itsuki.
Itsuki was a rich yet humble boy, who is also lonely. The two connected fast because of their loneliness, to the point they were dating in high school. Hinaki got pregnant in the second year of her high school. Due to her lover’s strict family policy, they got married. Hinaki was still forced by her husband’s family to attend homeschooling and courses to make her a suitable lady for the household, and she complies for the love of her husband.
It was going well for 4 years with the two’s love for each other. Yet, when their son, Konoha, was 3, her husband passed, being crushed on by a drunk truck driver. Ever since his inheritance went to her, her late husband’s family really had pushed her around for the exception of Kobato, Itsuki’s little sister who’s on her side. They even attempt to get her son, who is a transgender, to be a female heir married off to a long distance cousin.
She decided to finally step for herself to save her son and hired a lawyer, Teru, who later becomes her friend even after she won the case. However, the agreement with her family had led her to be unable to gain much from the inheritance, and she now had to work. A club member from her past light music club recommended her to be an idol producer and her talent in producing flourishes in 346-pro, in which she produces mainly Chieri, Layla, Ranko, Natalia, the trio unit Individuals, and Takumi, who are like her own daughters.
She becomes accomplished enough to work on another brotherly office, 315pro, because she needed the money and she got a recommendation from her boss to ‘try and work with male idols’. In which her sister-in-law Kobato worked under the fake name of Hatsuzuki Daniel, and also her lawyer-turned-friend Teru is apparently an idol there much to her surprise.
Later on, as she accomplished to be the probably sub-producer for Dramatic Stars too in 315pro…. and somehow, she enters a close relationship with Teru, though sometimes she’s still unsure about it. By this point, she’s also in charge with two new idols in 346pro, Chiyo and Riamu.
Home:
Hinaki and Konoha live in a small apartment with 2 rooms and a private bathroom in Tokyo. Hinaki’s room is filled with plushies she collected as a hobby, mostly popular mascots and video games mascot. She prefers sleeping in bed, but her son preferred futon, which is one of the main difference between the mom and son’s side of the room.
Later after the two adults hooked up, Hinaki stays over Teru’s apartment often when she needs to not disturb her son’s studies as the two shared a room as Hinaki often comes home late.
Weather:
Hinaki claimed to love autumn the most. Yet, she’s not good with cold weather, and it was the main reason she wore black stockings most of the time.
Physical&Dressing Up:
At 150cm tall without her heels, she’s not very mature-looking, yet if you took a close glance on her you can still see she’s an adult. She has a mole under her left eye (right from other’s view).
Hinaki kept her hair long and thick because she liked to toy around with her hairstyle— though sometimes she jokingly claimed it was because of her deceased husband, no one knows if she’s serious or not about this. She loves her ponytail the most.
She has a pair of small breasts she claims are only ‘big enough to feed a baby’, while her thighs and butt are thicker. She claims to be bothered with this, and would’ve preferred ‘if it was her boobs instead’.
Hinaki wears a suit to work, with a pleated skirt as the skirt. She said it made her move much faster. She wears black stocking in winter, and a thigh-high with shorts in summer. Her casual sense of fashion usually involved a monochromatic base dress or shirt and skirt with cardigan or jacket that has bright colors like red or orange and small accessories like a necklace. In her home, she usually wears patterned, mascot-themed loungewear and pajamas.
Reaction:
Hinaki had the tendency to not rely on people and just go with other people’s flow once it’s herself that’s involved. However, she’s protective and aggressive when her beloved people’s rights are disturbed.
She doesn’t really think she’s worth anything ever since she was pushed around by her deceased husband’s family, and had developed depression since. She started to learn her own worth from the people who love her, which includes her idols and had become much better since.
She tends to react childish and hyper happily when it involves things she collects, like cute mascots.
When she’s too drunk, she’s a sobbing type of drunk who reminiscences bad memories and complain.
Motives:
Hinaki wants a life when she can support her son well with what he wanted to do, as an exchange of her own youth. Before her reunion with Teru, she hasn’t really much thought of remarrying anyone, though it was one of her goals to make her son have a father figure. It surprised even herself that she ends up developing feelings for Teru.
She is also motivated to make all of her idols successful in their own ways while being truly happy from their heart. She will do anything to ensure their happiness, probably even sacrificing her own sometimes… in which her idols had called out her against doing that, often.
Mood:
Hinaki always looks jolly and childish on the outside, as if she has nothing to care in the world. Yet, the truth is she worries too much about other people and is protective of her son and her idols. She’s also a jokester who laughed at even the lamest of jokes.
When she got depressed, she usually got more indulged into her work and kept it to herself until someone trusted spoke up to her, holding back her own worries in a busy yet happy facade. When she did cry though, she cries hard.
Opinion&Perception:
She believed that idols are human beings first, and is sort of against the rules like no-romance ones. However, she also understood that it’s a thing in the business already, and is more wary about making things public. Though, if it ends up becoming scandals, she’d do her best to protect her idols and be by her side.
She’s quite a negative person, but she tried to hide it with positive thoughts. She’s surprisingly easy to read from her expression when she’s not serious, but when she’s serious she’s very hard to read.
Sex & Romantic Life:
She’s a bisexual. Hinaki considers sex as her necessity already, to the point there was a time she slept around a year after her husband died, even having a female sex-friend at some point. She decided to get over it when she got her current job and focus on it instead.
She hasn’t found someone to properly love again after her husband died until she got reunited with Teru in their new job, and somehow she started to develop a crush on him without noticing it was a crush. In a way, she was dense about romance despite her strong desire in sex.
